Get Your Grant
NSA has begun accepting registration
grant applications for the 2008 Winter
Meeting in San Francisco, Calif., Feb.
14–17, 2008. Who is eligible? Those
who could not otherwise afford the full
cost of registration for the Winter Meeting and have been a member of NSA for
one year as of the date of application.
The grant does not cover the cost of
travel or lodging; those expenses are the
responsibility of the member. Up to five
grants will be awarded for the Winter
Meeting. The deadline for application is
Jan. 4, 2008. For more information on
registration grants and to receive a copy
of the application, visit the NSA Web site
at www.nsaspeaker.org. You may also
contact Audrey O’Neal at (480) 968-
2552 or e-mail your request to audrey@
nsaspeaker.org.
NSA Web Sites Have New Look
NSA’s two Web sites, www.nsapeaker.org
and www.mynsa.org, recently relaunched
with new designs. In addition to a new
look, you will notice some changes in
navigation and functionality on both sites.
www.nsaspeaker.org is now a marketing and branding tool for potential
members, meeting professionals and the
media. Information and resources not
specific to the external audience are available for you at www.mynsa.org.
www.mynsa.org continues to be the
site for NSA members, by giving you
easy access to the members-only tools
and information provided by NSA. The
foundation on which the site is now
structured offers potential for adding
new features, so watch for new and
exciting additions in the near future.
Robust Recruiting Race
The race is on with the Speaker 2
Speaker Quick Start Promo! The member
with the most recruits between Sept. 1
and Nov. 30 wins a free 2008 Convention registration and is honored with a
photo in the Jan./Feb. issue of Speaker
magazine. Don’t delay, start recruiting
today. We now have a 20-way tie.
As of Sept. 30, NSA current members
have recruited 64 new members. Allowing
for multiple recruits, 58 members have
earned their backstage pass to a special
reception and television network studio
tour in NYC during the 2008 Convention.
Do you know of someone who
would benefit from NSA membership? To learn more about the
Speaker 2 Speaker campaign, go to
