The 2008-09 Speaker2Speaker campaign
is under way! Expand the power and
potential of NSA by referring prospective

Board of Directors Takes Action
The NSA Board of Directors met in New
York City in July and took the following
actions:
• Approved a revised charter for the NSA
Audit Committee.
• Approved the operating and capital budget for the shortened 2008-09 fiscal year.
• Approved the North Florida Chapter
charter.
• Eliminated the Strategic Partnership
Council as an active committee.
• Modified the composition of the
Professional Development Council.
• Updated the NSA Investment Policy.
• Approved Scott Friedman’s two-year term
as NSA’s representative to the IFFPS.
• Approved the development of a new concept for a NSA publication.
• Updated the Conflict of Interest Policy
for NSA Board and staff members, and
approved a Whistleblower Policy.
• Established a policy stating that only professional staff for NSA or IFFPS speakers
can receive the staff rate to attend NSA
meetings.
• Speaker2Speaker member recruitment
campaign will offer discount coupons
through current NSA members to encourage non-NSA members to attend NSA
meetings.
• All nominees for the office of Vice
President of NSA must hold a CSP designation at the time of nomination.
• Adopted a new diversity statement and
a statement of intent to clarity the role of
chapters.
