Deadline for Winter Conference
Grant Applications
NSA is accepting registration grant applications for the 2009 winter conference
through Feb. 1, 2009. those who cannot
afford the full cost of registration and have
been a member of NSA for one year as
of the date of application are eligible to
apply. the grant does not cover the cost
of travel or lodging. Up to five grants will
be awarded for this conference. contact

NSA Members Go to Prison
to celebrate the Spirit of NSA Day, five
NSA members from reno, Nev., visited the
Northern Nevada Correctional Center in
carson city to judge a toastmaster’s con-
test attended by 43 male inmates. Michelle
Nichols, creator of National hug Your Kids
Day (see page 22), arranged the visit and
