you. Unfortunately, the person
introducing you may not be
a skilled speaker. That makes it your
responsibility to write a powerful, yet
simple introduction that sets the tone and
impacts your overall effectiveness.
Keep it short and sweet, and include
some interesting information about
yourself, the reason you were selected
to speak and why your topic is relevant
to the audience. Refrain from boasting

A long introduction followed by a bad
speech is the worst combination you can
levy on an audience. Conversely, a short
introduction followed by a sterling speech
is like hitting a grand slam.
PREPARE YOUR INTRODUCER
It’s important to fully support your
introducer long before the meeting date
to ensure he or she does an effective job.
