y dad gave it his all,

from Fiddler on the
Roof. He was por-
traying Tevye, the
poor Jewish milkman and father of five
daughters. Sporting his own full beard
and dressed in an appropriate costume
consisting of worn pants, shirt, vest and
cap, Dad—at age 65—was the hit of the
show. As a long-time teacher at Cantara
Elementary School, he successfully per-
formed one of his favorite songs in the
annual student/faculty talent show.
Dad could definitely relate to
Teyve and raising daughters, as
he and my mom were the proud
parents of six daughters and
three sons, with me being the
eldest of the Bruso Bunch.
As a young man, my dad
dreamed of traveling around
the world. When he did
venture overseas, it was to
