Embrace Revamped Website
An executive at a large Arizona corporation sits on his patio with his iPad, seeking keynote speakers for an upcoming confer- ence. In Michigan, a new
NSA member fires up her computer
and sees, “Good morning, Tami, here
are your action items for today.” On
the other side of the globe, a speaker
in Germany searches live calendars to
see if any of her NSA buddies will be
in California when she’s there for an
upcoming engagement.
What’s the common thread? These
individuals are making use of online
assistance offered by NSA. For these
users, it’s all about getting their jobs
done—effectively and efficiently.
Introduced in January, the new
NSA site serves as a virtual community
watering hole, helping members and
non-members locate information, find
relevant tools, solve business needs and
learn something new.
The site design stresses simple organization and clear user interface. It
highlights benefits and encourages
engagement with active language and
specific calls-to-action. Content duplication has been reduced. Updated
graphics, more photography and videos
attract attention and increase opportunities for visitor interaction. Likewise,
social-media tools invite community
participation.
“I’d like to congratulate NSA for
transforming the overall feel and
usability of the site. The old site was
confusing and much less effective than
this new, cleaner look,” said NSA board
member and marketing expert Ford
Saeks, president and CEO of Prime
Concepts Group, Inc.
The site also offers terrific value
for individual members; for example,
members can create a complimentary
online profile, accessed under “Find
a Speaker” through the main navigation. Meeting planners and others can
use this powerful tool to search by
speaker name, area of expertise/topics,
geographic location, schedule, chapter
affiliation, professional designation and
other keywords.
Your basic online directory profile
is automatically set up when you join
NSA. But that’s only the first step: You
can enhance your directory profile and
enjoy much more functionality. (See
sidebar at right.)
Welcome to our home—and make it
your home, too!

This is the key to activating many of
the features the system offers.
