Before you do anything, consider your outcome. How
will doing this benefit your speaking business? Decide
on one big goal, and then tie everything back to it.
With each decision you make, ask yourself, “Will this
help me build influence?”
My goal with my show, #Fordify, is to provide
bite-sized content that meeting planners can share
with their organizations. I demonstrate the breadth
of my expertise, which will help me get more book-
ings. That’s it. Everything else—the views, the likes,
the followers, the comments, the great SEO—is extra.
