#Influence18 is all about the choice to explore and embrace
change. Last year in Orlando, we presented attendees with a
choice, much like the character Neo from The Matrix had in
the 1999 hit film. Members could take the blue pill and stay
in their current reality—safe, but stagnant—or take the red
pill and come with us on a journey to leverage technology
and spread influence from the stage and beyond. By choosing
the metaphorical red pill and entering the Speaker “Matrix,”
you’re in for an experience that will forever change your
speaking business. To make your experience unforgettable,
we focused on three key areas:
COMMUNITY: On Tuesday, the breakout programming
will be done completely by our diverse NSA Community Groups. These
groups are constantly rated as one of the most valuable parts of NSA
membership, and we wanted to honor that—and them—by allowing an
unprecedented takeover on programming.
CONNECTION: In cities across the world, the “pop-up” phenomenon is taking consumers by storm. We’re replicating this experience at
#Influence18. You’ll find multiple “pop-up” areas, where you can try technologies that can help you grow your business and share your influence.
From podcasting to livestreaming and a few other to-be-revealed surprises,
you’ll get to watch masters at work, learn from professionals, and touch,
feel, and test equipment and tools.
CONTENT: We know the sizzle is important, but for #Influence18, we
really want to get straight to the meat! Every presenter—mainstage and
breakout—is going to provide action-oriented takeaways that are clear,
focused, and time-oriented. For the first time at any NSA event, we’re asking all of our breakout presenters to provide 30-, 60-, and 90-day action
plans, so you can increase your convention ROI and ensure that you’re on
track to implement the many ideas you’ll learn.
The past 18 months have been a labor of love for us, and we hope that
shows in the experience we plan to bring to all of you at #Influence18. See
you in Dallas!
