You heard me say it at Influence 2018, “Time breaks
That means you, as a speaker and as an influ-
encer, must intentionally transform your methods,
thinking, reach, and business to be effective and
And Influence 2019 is where you need to be to
transform. My co-chair, the amazing Dan Burrus,
CSP, CPAE, and I would like to give you a sneak peek
as what to you can expect this summer.
Let me start by sharing our ground rules. Dan
and I are particularly concerned with your results.
Every speaker and anything that graces our brand-new stage at the Gaylord Rockies Resort must:
1. Be at a level of performance and content worthy
of presenting to the premier organization of speakers
in the world.
2. Have content and insights, which, when applied
fully, will be transformational for you.
3. At some point, share specifically how you can
apply what you’ve learned when you get home.
As I exhort my audiences to do things they’ve
never done, you must start by doing things you’ve
never done. So, check this out.

Every transformation is ultimately a transformation
of the heart. Your opening event will feature the
boundless adventurer, Erik Weihenmayer. Erik has

of the Grand Canyon … and done it all totally blind!
(Still think you have limitations?) This is inspiration
on a level few have experienced. On the descent from
Everest, Erik’s team leader gave him some advice that
every CSP and CPAE needs to hear: “Don’t let Everest
be the greatest thing you ever do.” Think about that.
Erik will help all of us break through our barriers.
Shelita Burke is, well, a force of nature. She
is a 28-year-old data scientist and world expert on
artificial intelligence and social media, as well as a
featured speaker at the biggest social media conferences in the world. Shelita will teach you a deliberate,
nearly scientific approach to growing your influence
by reaching and leveraging super fans. Shelita is also
a hit R&B artist. Google her.
